On a very hot summer afternoon this beautiful undulating valley seemed to slumber in the heat, yet thousands of years ago it would have been alive with activity – for from this valley our Neolithic ancestors extracted all the boulders they used to create their circles and other structures along this part of the south Dorset ridgeway.
